About Imperatives

Imperatives is an independent publication about the responsible economy: stakeholder capitalism, sustainable and impact finance, responsible wealth management, and the rules that shape all three. We write for readers who want the substance without the slogans.

How we work

• Sourced. Claims link to primary sources: regulations, company filings, peer-reviewed research, official statistics.
• Plain language. If a term needs a glossary, we define it in the sentence.
• Not advice. Nothing here is investment, legal or tax advice. Articles about finance are informational; decisions about your money belong with a licensed professional who knows your situation.
• Corrections. Errors are corrected in place with a dated note.

Independence notice

This domain, imperative21.co, was used from 2020 by the "Imperative 21" campaign and network, a coalition of business organisations that called for a RESET of the economic system. That network has since moved to a different web address and described its activity as running from 2020 to 2026. Imperatives acquired the domain after it expired. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for Imperative 21, its stewards or its partners. We cover the same subjects because they matter; the analysis, and any mistakes in it, are ours alone.

If you reached this site through an old link expecting the campaign's materials, our pages on the Imperatives and RESET explain what the campaign was and summarise it in our own words.

Who writes here

Articles are signed. Finance pieces carry the author's name and relevant background, and a note on any holdings or commercial relationships that could matter to the reader.
